
Depending on your arrival time, our driver will meet you and bring you to hotels where you will stay the night and then explore the park the next day. Depending on your time of park arrival, your package will be of three nights (72 hours in the park) and four days of trekking. You will have a private chef and a guide with you for the duration of your trip. There will be water, food, and soft drinks available. Accommodation and dinner at either Aqua Lodge or Sun Set Vista Hotel.
In order to be in Gombe National Park by midday, you will board the boat at the Kibirizi boat port at approximately 10 am. You will wait for lunch and a short break after checking in and going through the park admission requirements before going on an evening hike. The walk is scheduled to begin between 2:00 and 3:30 PM and conclude about 6:00 PM. Dinner and first night in the Kasekela Luxury Tented Camp
On the second day, an early breakfast will be followed by a hike to the Kakombe waterfall and then a trek to the chimpanzees’ designated location for the day. Around 1 pm, the second day’s hike will come to a close with a return to the base for lunch and rest. The second day’s evening will be spent relaxing on the beach and maybe swimming at the base.
After breakfast, you will take a diversion on your way to the chimpanzees’ natural habitat. On this day, you may also attempt to reach the peak of the Gombe Mountains, the location where Jane Goodall used to stand while she was tracking chimpanzees by listening to their calls. Learn about trees and the marvels of nature on your walk while enjoying the outdoors. Come back for lunch, and then take some time to recuperate before having some fun at the beach while waiting for the sun to set on the opposite side of Lake Tanganyika.
After breakfast, the fourth and final day in the park will begin at approximately 8 or 9 a.m. with a hike through the hills to the chimpanzees. You will return to the base after two to three hours of walking and climbing, where you may rest and have lunch before departing the park at approximately noon.
Have breakfast, meet your private transfer to Kigoma Airport, and catch your departure flight back to Dar Es Salaam or to another destination.
