Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. After passport control, you will be met by your safari guide, who will be with you for the rest of your safari, outside the arrival lounge and drive to your accommodations in Arusha (Approx. 60 minutes). Enjoy a great meal and a relaxing evening before starting your Tanzania safari the next day.
Accommodations:
You will depart Arusha after breakfast and make your way through some stunning tribal communities on the way to Tarangire National Park, which will take around two hours. You will bring picnic lunch boxes with you and have a game drive before to checking into your lodgings in the late afternoon.
Tarangire boasts the second-highest concentration of wildlife in Tanzania, behind the Serengeti National Park. During the dry season, the Tarangire River serves as a magnet for wildlife that is parched. The river that runs through the park is home to a wide variety of animals and birds, including lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and of course, elephants. In point of fact, the park is home to the highest concentration of elephants found anywhere in the nation and affords visitors a one-of-a-kind opportunity to see the dynamic relationships that exist between different elephant families. Additionally, this is the only location in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as oryx and gerenuk may be seen on a consistent basis. It is especially well-known for its magnificent baobab trees and its amazing vistas of the Maasai Steppe and the mountains to the south. Tarangire is located in Tanzania.
Accommodations:
Following breakfast, you will get in your vehicle and go in the direction of Karatu. En route, you will make a market stop at Mto wa Mbu, which is a town with a bustling cultural scene. You will have the option to participate in a wide selection of various activities if you are in the Karatu region. You will have the opportunity to choose to go canoeing, biking, or hiking in addition to participating in one or more of our Halisia Africa Experiences. Before settling into your lodgings close to the Ngorongoro Crater Rim for the night, you will get the opportunity to gain knowledge on a wide variety of topics and see a different side of Tanzania.
Accommodations:
In the morning, after an early breakfast, you will be one of the first vehicles descending the 600 metres (2,000 feet) into Ngorongoro Crater for superb game viewing with picnic lunch boxes. The Ngorongoro Crater is a natural enclosure that supports 20,000–30,000 animals at any one time, making it virtually Noah’s Ark and inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. The Crater is considered one of the natural wonders of the world and has the highest densities of predators in Africa, such as lions, hyenas, and leopards. It is also one of the best places in Africa to see the endangered black rhino. Spend a full day in the crater, and in the late afternoon, slowly begin the climb out of the crater and head to your accommodations on the rim of the crater for dinner and an overnight stay.
Accommodations:
After breakfast, you will leave the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and head to the very beautiful and productive Central Serengeti, which is famed for its terrific cat sightings. As you progress well into the Serengeti, you will see why the name means, in the local language, “endless plains.” The Serengeti, together with Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park, form Africa’s most famous wildlife parks. The image of acacia trees on an endless grass plain epitomises Africa for many, and when you add a Masai warrior and some cattle to the picture, the conversation needs to go no further. The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet, with almost two million animals following the rains. But that is not where the game viewing ends; you will encounter large prides of lions, elephants, and giraffes in the grasslands, as well as gazelles and eland, to mention but a few. Aside from traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Serengeti plains has become almost essential. Spend three days exploring.
We are completely flexible with your preferences, and the days will be organised according to your wishes. On every day of the safari, your guide will discuss with you the best timing for you, including the game drives and the wake-up time. For example, you could do a morning game drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation, and finish with an afternoon game drive, or you could do a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.
Accommodations:
The morning of day eight is your last in the Serengeti. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast or possibly an early morning wildlife drive before making your way to Seronera Airstrip to catch your flight to Zanzibar. Zanzibar is an island off of Tanzania’s eastern coast that is also known as Unguja. This gorgeous island has beaches of pearl-white sand, a crystal-clear blue ocean, and comfortable temps. You will be able to enjoy a tour of old Stone Town, see the spice farms, island hop, or just rest on the beach. You will spend six nights here.
Accommodations:
Get dropped off at Abeid Amaan International Airport so you can catch your trip back home. Transportation to and from the airport will be arranged in accordance with the passenger’s flight information.
