Spice Farms Day Tour With Or Without Cooking Class

Price :$150

Take a private car to the beautiful countryside outside of busy Stone Town or from your hotel and enjoy a three- to four-hour trip to Zanzibar’s interesting spice plantations. We think a delicious home-cooked meal (pilau, curried vegetables in creamed turmeric, kachumbari salad, and bean falafel with coconut chutney) would be a great way to end the trip. This trip is best coupled with a trip to Stone Town, Prison Island, or a culinary lesson.
Spice Island is another name for Zanzibar. It is a well-known producer of spices, particularly cloves. A spice trip is a must-do if you want to see rural Zanzibar and interact with the locals. Prepare yourself for sensory overload. You will be exposed to the enticing aromas and flavours of raw cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, turmeric, black pepper, and vanilla, as well as a feast of exotic tropical fruits. Our knowledgeable and well-trained guide will explain everything you discover there.
Our customers will be able to meet the locals when they buy hand-made items, fresh spices, and fresh fruits from stores and farms nearby. Women’s groups in communities attempting to combat poverty produce the majority of handcrafted goods. Purchasing something from them is one way to give back to the community.

Tour Plan

01
Day 01 :Spice Farms With or Without Cooking Class

This day will start after a hefty breakfast at your hotel followed by a drive to the beautiful countryside on the outskirts of busy Stone Town or from your hotel and enjoy a pleasant three- to four-hour trip visiting Zanzibar’s fascinating spice plantations at Kidichi Villages. One of the big spice farms is where your tour will start. A local spice farm guide will take over explaining in detail each spice planted on the farm.

After finishing touring the farm, you will enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal (pilau, curried vegetables in creamed turmeric, kachumbari salad, and bean falafel with coconut chutney). This trip is best coupled with a trip to Stone Town, Prison Island, or a culinary lesson. Extra activities will be charged.

After lunch, take a guided tour of Stone Town and visit historic sites such as the Palace Museum, Old Fort, and the House of Wonders, or opt for the Prison Island “Changuu Island Tour” or a cooking class for an additional fee. After doing a bunch of different things, you’ll be driven back to your hotel to end the day’s trip.
