Take a private or shared full-day sail in a traditional dhow boat around Zanzibar's southern shore. This magnificent voyage will take you across the Indian Ocean from the fishing village of Fumba to the Menai Bay conservation area. The activities for the day include snorkelling at a sand bank, swimming, resting, touring Kwale Island, refreshments, and a seafood feast.
After a short drive from your hotel, you'll arrive at Fumba Village, where you'll board a traditional dhow and cruise to Minai Bay (Menai Bay), which is home to a stunning collection of deserted islands. When you get to your destination, the dhow will be moored in a beautiful location where you can swim around the island, snorkel along the coral reefs, see frolicking dolphins, and explore the pristine islands.
On Kwale Island, you can end your day with a sumptuous lunch of delectable calamari, freshly grilled fish, enormous lobsters, and fresh fruit juice made from tropical fruits in season while relaxing under tall tamarind trees. You'll return to Fumba with the lateen sail after a day in the sun.
