Your guide will meet you in the morning at Arusha, and after a roughly 2-hour drive, you will arrive at Tarangire National Park. As you enter the park, your guide will open the vehicle’s canopy for enhanced observation. Northern Tanzania’s greatest elephant populations reside in Tarangire. Also observed here are giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, wildebeests, and numerous antelopes and gazelles. Seasonal marshes and an apparently unending tree savannah with towering baobab trees make up the landscape. The Nimali Tarangire Camp will be reached in the afternoon following extensive game safaris in the park. Enjoy a breathtaking sunset, unwind in the comfortable lounge, or converse around the campfire. Lunch; Dinner.
Following a substantial breakfast, you will embark on a second wildlife drive in Tarangire National Park. The Tarangire River is the only permanent source of water between June and October, and fauna tends to congregate in its vicinity. You will have supper at one of the picnic areas. You depart this gorgeous park in the afternoon. Soon after passing through the multi-cultural town of Mto wa Mbu, the higher lands are reached, and breathtaking views of the Masai Plains and Lake Manyara appear. After the obligatory photo halt, you will proceed to the crater’s verdant highlands. Kitela Lodge, located in the midst of a coffee plantation and encircled by gorgeous gardens, is the destination for today. Included are breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Today, you will travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and into the Ngorongoro Crater. Almost all of the animal species inhabiting the East African savannah reside in grass steppes and acacia forests. In just a few hours, it is possible to observe the “Big Five” (lion, elephant, bison, rhinoceros, and leopard). After game viewing and a picnic in the crater, you will depart the Ngorongoro Highlands in the afternoon and proceed to the Serengeti. You will shortly reach the central Serengeti’s Seronera Valley after passing the seemingly infinite plains of the southern Serengeti. The beautiful Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge will serve as your lodging for the next three nights. The room rate includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
These two days are dedicated to game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. Your guide will take you to the best spots to observe wildlife. Elephants, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, topi, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, and many more can be seen in this large national park. Especially in the Seronera Valley, you will be able to experience fantastic game viewing all year. The Serengeti, together with the Masai Mara in Kenya, is also home to the largest animal migration on the planet. You will stay at the Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
If time allows, you will head out on your last game drive in the early morning. After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, your guide will take you to the airstrip. Here you will say goodbye and board a small aircraft that will take you back to Arusha. At an additional cost, we can arrange connecting flights to Tanzania’s coast or islands. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
Explore the vast savannahs of East Africa on a safari customized to your preferences, whether it's encountering the Big Five in Tanzania's famous wildlife parks, or visiting the Rhino sanctuaries of Kenya.
