Our Halisia Africa driving guide will pick you up at the airport and transport you to your lodging in Arusha. You will spend the night in a room that has been particularly designed, unwind, and get ready for the adventures that lie ahead. To begin with, the Gran Melia Arusha Hotel is a haven of peace and beauty.
Your own safari guide will pick you up from your accommodations in Arusha in the morning after a hearty breakfast. On a decent asphalt road that winds through gently sloping Maasai grasslands with sporadic acacia trees, we’ll go toward Tarangire National Park. As we go, we will see numerous Maasais wearing vibrant clothing wandering beside the road, riding bicycles, herding livestock, and pulling donkey carts. Many different animals may be seen at Tarangire, which is best renowned for its enormous elephant herds. We will see the seasonal marshes, savanna, and life-giving Tarangire River from the open top of our cutting-edge safari vehicle. Make an effort to come across a variety of animals, including zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and giraffes, to mention a few. We could get a glimpse of lions pursuing prey or leopards resting and observing from trees.
You will be taken by vehicle to one of our carefully selected partner resorts for supper in a chic restaurant with a pool nearby to unwind and a roomy room.
Drive in Tarangire for a full day of wildlife watching after breakfast at the lodge and a packed lunch. You will have enough time on this long day to reach the location that you were unable to explore the previous day. This emphasises the notion that the more ground you traverse, the more you see and the better the experience will be. Drive to the lodge in the evening, supper, and an overnight stay at Maromboi Tented Lodge, which offers mesmerising views of the plains and magnificent sunsets in the late evenings.
The next leg of your epic safari to Lake Manyara National Park will begin after breakfast. This park is tiny yet rich in variety. About 70% of the park’s territory is covered by a small salt lake, hence the name “Lake Manyara National Park” is fitting. The park is situated 120 kilometres west of Arusha. The soda lake, which floods and dries with the seasons, is home to thousands of flamingos and more than 500 other kinds of birds. Monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and maybe even lions relaxing in the trees await us as we explore the park. The park has a wide variety of habitats, from grassy plains to woods teeming with primates to cliffs studded with baobab trees. After another exciting day in the African bush, we’ll go back to our lodgings for the night. This trip has given us memories of the continent’s natural wonders that will last a lifetime.
A picnic lunch under the towering acacia trees at the centre or a hearty meal at the lodge will be on the agenda for the afternoon. After eating, we’ll take a drive around the Maasai Kopjes anticlockwise through the Kopjes Circuit, where we’re likely to see a pride of lions and several imposingly enormous cobras.
Kopjes, which are granite outcrops that have been worn by the sun and rain, dot the plains like islands. Many of these kopjes function as mini-ecosystems, providing shelter and water from pools carved into the rock. This makes the kopjes an excellent place to see wildlife during the dry seasons, especially lions, who wait patiently for animals to come drink from the watering holes. Today is the day to embark on your scheduled hot air balloon ride for those who booked it in advance. There is camping available at the Serengeti Nyani Campsite.

The full day will be spent on wildlife drives in Serengeti National Park. Even while the Serengeti is home to a wide variety of animals, including impala, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippopotamuses, the park is perhaps best known for the massive herds of zebra, antelope, and wildebeest that migrate through it every year. The animals’ travel is governed by the rainfall and fluctuates from year to year. Animals make their annual migration from the northern region’s forests and hills to the southern region’s grassy plains in the months of November and December. During the lengthier rainy season from April to June, they return to the north. Apart from the migratory herds, we may get the chance to view the resident predators, leopards, cheetahs, and lions, completing their role in the cycle of life. After an incredible day, we’ll go back to your lodging to wind down, eat, and sleep on the boundless plain.
Enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing after a hearty breakfast at the camp. You’ll be able to go there where you couldn’t before since today is so lengthy. On this day, you have the choice to participate in extra activities like a balloon safari. One of the most enchanting and unforgettable things to do in the Serengeti is to go on a balloon safari. You may enjoy the beauty of the plains in peace and quiet on a balloon safari. Taking a balloon ride is a great way to obtain a bird’s-eye view of the Serengeti. Animals have left behind paths that humans can’t see from the ground, but you can see them if you go up a mountain. Balloon tours need an early morning of preparation, including travel to the launch site.
Champagne and a bush breakfast are served after the balloon ride, which usually ends around 10 a.m. Following a hearty breakfast in the bush, your guide will take you on another exciting day of Serengeti game viewing before returning you to your carefully selected lodge for supper and the night.
Your journey from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater will begin after breakfast. The “Big Five” animals (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard) are all potentially seen in the area around Ngorongoro Crater. The formation of this 600-meter-deep, 260-square-kilometer UNESCO World Heritage Site took place millions of years ago. The crater has the highest animal density in Tanzania, estimated at 25,000, making it an ideal location for game viewing. Before lunchtime, you will have made it to the edge of the crater. After entering the crater, you will observe wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and a variety of the more than 500 bird species that call this place home. You may be able to see one of these critically endangered black rhinos if you keep your eyes peeled and wait patiently in the grass. When the day within the crater is done, you’ll go back to your lodging for supper and the night.
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Karatu and get you to the airport (Arusha or Kilimanjaro) on time so that you don’t miss your flight to Zanzibar. The services of one of the best 5-star hotels on Zanzibar are at your disposal, and we will see to it that you make the most of them. Each hotel’s romance packages are unique, but common elements include a fruit basket, a romantic turndown, sparkling wine, a couple’s massage, and a candlelit dinner for two. Hotels such as the Zuri Zanzibar, Gold Zanzibar, Melia Zanzibar, Zawadi Zanzibar, Riu Jambo, Riu Palace, Royal Zanzibar, Essque Zalu, and many more are among our favourites. Take advantage of all this beautiful island has to offer on your honeymoon, and relax and unwind in style.
Take use of the hotel’s facilities and spend the whole day unwinding. In light of the length of your safari, today has been set aside to let you rest and rejuvenate.
After a leisurely morning at the hotel, we’ll pick you up for a trip to the Baraka Turtle Aquarium and a sunset ride on a traditional dhow, where you will mingle with locals and other visitors. You’ll also use this morning break to relax after your long safari and get your energy back.
After a full breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be taken to Matemwe for the Mnemba Island Tour, where you will go snorkelling and maybe even swim with dolphins. This early morning excursion focuses on the ocean activities and dolphins of Zanzibar. In their native environment, dolphins may sometimes be seen from a distance of only a few feet. Their strong sociability means you have a good chance of convincing them to play with you. Although missing out on dolphin sightings is quite unlikely, it does occur on occasion. You will get back to the hotel for some rest and supper.
A post-drive after breakfast to Fumba will take you on a famous full-day trip known as Safari Blue. Tradition dhow will sail from Fumba to Kwale Island and the surrounding sandbank for snorkelling and enjoying the warm beach. Watermouthing seafood lunch will be served at Kwale followed by swimming at the blue lagoon a natural swimming pool. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Checking out of the hotel doesn’t mean you can’t spend your last hours of vacation there, resting or making use of the hotel’s amenities. You will be taken to the airport in plenty of time for your flight, and you will look back on your honeymoon safari in Tanzania with fondness.
