10 Days Wildebeests Migration And River Cross

Overview

The wildebeest migration river crossing begins in July and ends in September. In this season, the great wildebeest migration is in the northern Serengeti, in the area known as Kogatende along the Mara River, which acts as the border between the Serengeti and Maasai Mara Game Reserve, which is located in Kenya.
Due to the wildebeest’s attraction to newly sprouting grasses after rain, which have the best nutritional value for them, the migration calendar is solely dependent on the rainy season. In this period, the northern Serengeti is the only area where wildebeest migration can be observed with the distinctive feature of river crossing.

At the Kilimanjaro International Airport when you arrive in Tanzania, a guide and a representative from Halisia Africa Travels & Tours will greet you. After that, you will be transferred to Arusha to stay at Planet Lodge for supper and the night.

02
Day 02: Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up shortly after breakfast at the lodge, and the journey to Tarangire National Park will take around two hours and forty-five minutes. Take advantage of the whole day to go game-watching in Tarangire. It is said that the park is home to some of the biggest herds of elephants in all of Africa, as well as some of the oldest baobab trees. In addition, there are a variety of other creatures, including African Big Cats, Antelopes (including Eland, Buffalos, Wildebeest, Impala, and Grant Gazelles, amongst others), Giraffes, Zebras, Monkeys, and a great deal more. Drive in the evening to get to the lodge. The Marambo Tented Lodge will provide both dinner and lodging for the night.

03
Day 03: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will head north to Lake Manyara National Park. It’s about an hour’s drive from the exit of Tarangire. Lake Manyara National Park is at the foot of the Great Rift Valley. The park is named after the soda lake in the middle of the park. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, great bird life, and lesser flamingos. In the evening, drive to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the farm house .All meals are included.

04
Day 04: Ngorongoro Crater

It’s time to see the well-known Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area entrance is a 10-minute drive from the lodge. From there, take in the breathtaking tropical forest as you go to Crater View Point to see one of the most breathtaking vistas on earth. The best combination of African scenery, animals, people, and ancient monuments may be found at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. “The African Eden” is a common nickname. The extinct volcanoes that make up the Ngorongoro Crater’s (a World Heritage Site) surrounding terrain reach heights of more than 3,500 metres (11,483 feet). Its dimensions are 19.2 km (12 miles) in diameter, 610 m (2,000 ft) deep, and 304 sq km (117 sq miles), making it the world’s biggest unbroken and undamaged caldera. A large and deep volcanic crater, Ngorongoro. Because the crater’s bottom is covered with constant water, dense forest, fertile grassland, and marshes, there is a wide variety of fauna. The biggest concentration of animals may be seen on the crater floor, where the Big Five can be seen in a condensed region. This is the ideal place to observe black rhinos and several other endangered species, including black-maned lions. Enjoy your picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok Spring in the crater after the wildlife drive. After lunch, take advantage of the remaining time to go on a game drive and then drive to the resort in the late afternoon. Dinner and accommodations are at the farmhouse. Every meal is provided.

05
Day 05 : Serengeti Central Game Drive

After an early breakfast, depart for the most famous national park in the world, the Serengeti. On your way, you will make a quick stop at the Ngorongoro Crater View Point. This will be an unforgettable moment for anyone seeing it for the first time. As you progress well into Serengeti, you will see why they named it Serengeti in Maasai, which means “the endless plain”. It is the home of the Great Migration of wildebeests, which stands as an icon of the park. This great migration brought together millions of animals, such as wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. This gives the African big cat unlimited food, which is why we called it the home of the African big cats” (lions, leopards, and cheetahs). It’s a good place to look out for large predators. More than 500 species of birds also inhabit this park. Evening drive to the camp Dinner overnight at Serengeti Katikati Camp All meals are included.

06
Day 06: Serengeti National Park

After having breakfast at the camp, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a full day of game viewing. Welcome to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania! Here, you’ll find a vast expanse of approximately 14,763 square kilometres (5,700 square miles) of grassland plains, Savannah, kopjes, hills, woodlands, and river-line forests. Welcome to Seronera, the heart of the Serengeti! This is an excellent location to observe wildlife. Welcome to Seronera, a region that boasts a year-round water supply, making it an ideal habitat for a diverse range of animals. Welcome to this location, where you can witness predators patiently waiting for their prey to arrive. This offers a fascinating insight into the hunting and preparation techniques of these predators. After a long wildlife drive, we will take an evening drive back to the camp and have dinner at Serengeti Katikati Camp. The rest of the night will be spent at the camp. You will be pleased to know that all of your meals are included in this tour.

7-9
Day 07-09 : Serengeti North (Kigotende)

Before leaving for the Northern Serengeti, go on a morning game-watching excursion in the Central Serengeti after breakfast at the camp with a packed lunch. On your approach to the Mara River, take in the various vegetation zones. Observing the big wildebeest migration as it crosses the Mara River is the principal activity in this region; it is the world’s sole singular destination for animal movement. The wet season determines whether millions of wildebeest migrate from the Serengeti to the Maasai Mara or from the Maasai Mara to the Serengeti. You may see crocodiles attacking wildebeest in the Mara River at this time because they are waiting for easy food to come along. Many crocodiles also sunbathe to aid digestion after large meals. Arrival in the evening for supper and an overnight stay at Mara under canvas

10
Day 10: Serengeti To Arusha
