Take a guided walking safari through the park to see chimpanzees in their natural habitat. The park is home to Jane Goodall’s research station, which you can visit to learn about history. The station has been converted into a museum and visitor centre that highlights the park’s history and the significance of its conservation efforts.
You can hike to the top of the Kakombe waterfall, which is located in the park, for adventurous activities. The walk is approximately three hours long and provides breathtaking views of the neighbouring landscape.
After the strolling safari, stop at the Gombe Stream Research Centre for lunch. The centre has a restaurant that serves delicious cuisine and provides information about the Jane Goodall Institute’s scientific research being conducted in the park.
After an eventful day, unwind on the beautiful shoreline by Lake Tanganyika. Relish a sunbath atop the lake and a swim in its glistening waters. Your day will conclude with a ride back to Kigoma at approximately 17 hours.
