Tour Plan

01
Day 01 : Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

On this day, our knowledgeable tour guide will pick you up at Entebbe International Airport and take you straight to your hotel, where you can spend the day relaxing. There will be no activities on this day. The Serena Hotel and the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa are two hotels to choose from.

02
Day 02: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Your Uganda Mountain Gorilla and Wildlife Safari Adventure vacation trip will begin with a driver-guide picking you up from your accommodation in Entebbe and transporting you to Western Uganda. En route, you will stop at Mukwano Tea Plantations for a “crop to cup” experience.

Following the tea tour, you will travel to Fort Portal, Uganda’s tourist hub, situated amid crater lakes and hills. Before visiting Kibale Forest National Park, you will stop at Amabeere ga Nyinamwiru Caves, a cultural monument with a fascinating history. The Amabeere ga Nyinamwiru caverns are composed of rock formed by stalagmites and stalactites, which we will leave to geographers to explain. Take in the cultural tales associated with this cave. It is nestled between many trees and a stunning waterfall known as Nyakasura Falls. After touring the caverns, head to Kibale Forest National Park for supper and an overnight stay at either Primate Lodge Kibale, Crater Safari Lodge, or Chimpundu Lodge.

03
Day 03: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will go to Kibale National Park headquarters for a briefing from professional wildlife rangers before embarking on a chimp trekking adventure. When you discover the chimps, you get a one-hour session with them to take photographs and film.

After finishing your chimp trekking excursion in the afternoon, you will go for a lunch break and then a community walk. This allows you to visit the Crater Lakes and interact with locals. When the sun sets, you may return to your resort, which might be Kibale, Crater Safari Lodge, or Chimpundu Lodge.

04
Day 04: Transfer to Semliki National Park and Queen Elizabeth

Having had a hearty breakfast, you will set off for the Rwenzori Ranges-Semliki National Park today, one of Uganda’s smaller parks that straddles the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The tree-climbing lions of Uganda’s most popular safari area, Queen Elizabeth National Park, will greet you after a day of touring and lunch. In the evening, you may choose to stay at Mweya Safari Lodge, Elephant Plains Lodge, or Kyambura Gorge Lodge.

05
Day 05: Game drive in Queen Elizabeth and late boat cruise on Kazinga channel

You will have the chance to observe tree-climbing lions on a morning wildlife drive in the Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth National Park, which will take place after breakfast. A lion lazily sprawled out between tree trunks and branches is a sight to see, and you’ll get a great look at it if you take this incredible trip. See herds of buffalo, antelopes, elephants, and hippos in addition to the interesting lions. After lunch, you’ll set off on a two-hour boat ride down the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lakes Edward and George where you’re likely to see a wide variety of birds and other wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, and hundreds of hippos taking a dip in the cold water. Your safari journey to Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park will be unforgettable, and the launch cruise will be a highlight. After enjoying the sunset, go back to Mweya Safari Lodge, Elephant Plains Lodge, or Kyambura Gorge Lodge for supper.

06
Day 06: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will leave Kibale Forest National Park in the morning and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, where half of the world’s last mountain gorillas live, after breakfast. On your route to Bwindi Forest—famous as a home to tree-climbing lions—you’ll go through the Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You’ll spend the night at Four Gorillas Lodge, Gorilla Heights Lodge, or Gorilla Forest Camp after a tour of a coffee plantation and the crop-to-cup activity in Bwindi

07
Day 07: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park

Pack your lunches for the day’s gorilla trekking adventure and meet your Halisia Africa Safari guide and park rangers at the park headquarters for training on how to follow gorillas after breakfast. Prepare for the outing by wearing your hiking boots, carrying an umbrella, and grabbing a couple of walking sticks. A gorilla tracking expedition might last anywhere from two to eight hours, making gorilla trekking an unexpected adventure. Get ready to trek for a while over perpetually soggy ground and steep, muddy slopes. Visit a local settlement in the late afternoon to see the pygmies of Bwindi, a group of underprivileged people who have shared their forest home with the critically endangered mountain gorillas for decades. You should spend the night in the Gorilla Lodge, Gorilla Heights Lodge, or Gorilla Forest Camp.

08
Day 08: Return to Kampala

After a hearty breakfast at 8:00 a.m., you’ll hit the road for the return trip to Kampala, which is expected to take at least 9 hours. It is time to conclude your 8-day Ultimate Uganda gorilla and wildlife trip.
